my 3-year-old k700i starting to give me problem where the phone will turn off by itself even if the battery is full especially when there's incoming call. so, i'm thinking of changing a new phone instead of repairing it. so, i think i'll change the phone once i'm back to my hometown for my CNY/mid-sem break at 1st february. i'm actually considering to buy just a decent camera phone like k770i because i actually wanted to save money to buy DSC T2.

but one of my friend told me to buy k850i instead - 2 in 1 function since i need a new hp and camera. and i had been reading some review about k850i and it seems tp have equal number of good and bad comments. is the camera good? i actually already have a 6MP digi cam but owning k850i could be an advantage if i wanted to take photo anytime as i will always bring my phone out when i go anywhere right?? i really wanted to know id k850i really worth the money?

ken_zie - AP - RM 1380 + 512MB M2 - velvet blue

finally bought the phone after much consideration... not much complaint from me since i'm not that crazy with hp stuff... as long as it don't give me major problem, then it's ok... i just wanna ask will it lag if use 4GB M2??? cause even when i'm using 512MB now, it still lag a few seconds when i wanted to open the folder.

Easier way to check your firmware, go to menu, then setting, then at general tab, go to update service, then software version.

I wouldn't say that the K850's camera is worst than the K800's, in fact it's much bettah and more detailed in shots.
Here are some examples ;

user posted image

even taking shots with your regular digital camera if you shake it will blur the image taken, but bare in mind that the K850 is half phone and half cybershot so don't expect it to out perform a digital camera although with the given functions.
some tips for you to take great pictures with your K850 ;

i) finding a great light source to the object.
ii) white balance settings
iii) setting the ISO (i use mostly 100 and rarely 200 and almost never at 400)
iv) using scene modes and not always auto
v) and lastly, hold the photo firmly before snapping a photo (best placed on a surface to ignore shakes).
*
wow... your photo look really nice... very clear... actually, what is the function os ISO??? when i should use 100, 200 or 400?

overall, it's just that K810 is more of a PnS (easymode) thats why it's easy to get good shots whereas the K850 you'll to be good with the settings.
*
that's very true... using k850i camera really need a lots of practise with the setting... sadly, the pictures i taken till now still look bad... cry.gif

Because your hand are not steady....... hmm.gif
If you are a good picture taker won't happen..... rclxm9.gif

this is not the hand not steady problem or the hands was blocking the lens... i also experrienced this for quite a number of times already... i also don't really know what's the problem... usually i'll just delete the picture and take it again... or restart the camera...
