What's the third version, beside the black green strip, the white-black blue strip one?

1) What is the PIN2 default password?
2) What is the Password to activate to restrict all incoming calls?

K850i comes with few pieces of screen protector. there's one peice which sticks to the back of the phone. so this might be the culprit of the dark photos? it was really annoying to me too as for such high-end camera phone, where u expect it the outperform others, performs like this. dissapointing. gonna try again & update the outcome here. thanks for the help.

so when it's too bright or too dark, just play around with the exposure settings w/o using the flash?

yep try it out without the screen protector...

but bcarefull with the protector, probably you will end up messing it up, as in dirtying it

I'm using a very cheap dual screen protector which i got frm Atlantis fr rm10 and there's no diff in pic quality if i must say so.

It cover everything including the sensor except for the flash only.

And btw on an unrelated matter, after 4 mths having this phone prob free...
the first prob my phone encountered is a major prob...

The screen goes black after 5secs worth of typing or using the buttons... eg: typing message or dialing a very long number...

Went to SE service center and they'll repl a totally new hp fr me =/

The original plastic protector that comes attached at the the back of the phone is definitely not the root of the flash problem. It is a clear piece of plastic of it has hole where the lens and flash are.

Another thing is none of us here is stupid enough to put our whole fingers infront of the lens blocking it completely when taking pictures, we'd realize that straight away.

I did some test today and I'm even more convince that it is a flash sync problem. I tried using the flash on objects at different distance and noticed pictures comes out ok for objects located about 30-15cm from the lens. Anything further than that the picture turns out pitch black except for some few bright spots which the sensor managed to capture . Let's hope SE fixes this fast.

just tried it w/o the screen protector. problem still persist. more convince its due to the flash sync now. problems which i mentioned earlier is the same like yours. pitch black photos.

is it only specific batch of K850i faces this problem or all? can someone help to clarify?

ermmm, in my case, my pic oni happen to be pitch black during the 1st time i take pic wit it.... tat time i confirm i did accidentally block the sensor.... until now, din happen on me anymore.... did u try to send it to SE service centre n ask their opinion?

the problem didn't occur often, just sometimes in between several shots. but it's really annoying.

gonna try update to the latest FW & see whether does the problem still persist.

i try it with flash when the plastic protector still on..turns out dark..

but the buyer didnt come back to me, so i assume its ok, since i edi ask him few times all ok he say yes, taking photo also ok

Updated to the latest firmware. Flash sync has improved greatly, but still not very good. Sometimes still get very dark pics, but no more pitch black pics. I think the dot beside the LED is somekind of sensor and if you are using some protection such as silicone casing, plastic casing it may affect that sensor. So I'm making a hole in my silicone case.

Beside that phone speed overall has increase greatly. Media browser speed is super fast now plus now got trasition animation when scrolling throught pics.

Camera option menu changed abit. Last time when you scroll to the multioptions tab have to select ok then only will access it. Now will automatically access it.

Overall it was worth updating.

haha.... but i think u will feel very happy afte upgrading rite since itz really a huge difference... haha... altho itz still haven reach the peak performance, but i think is ok for me lo... wont expect too much from a hp cam...the hole tat u r saying is the sensor...
