follow dave ramsey rule:
To calculate how much house you can afford, use the 25% rule: Never spend more than 25% of your monthly take-home pay (after tax) on monthly mortgage payments. Following this rule keeps you safe from buying too much house and ending up house poor.

Buy landed house is OK, but go buy condo is abit, no, ALOT fucking stupid. Tou can take risks on car because you wont loose much if something goes wrong and you have to sell it off or the bank takes it away. Of course this is not smart I’m just saying that loosing a car is no big deal!

But house, NO. Always go way below what you can afford. You can’t afford to loose a house in bad times. Imagine having no roof for your family!

I know many bash TS for the ambitious take on the house BUT ...

our of curiosity, I wonder if most preach here stand by the 25% rules when they FIRST bought the house at that POINT in time ?

I bought PRIMA/RUMAWIP at salary around 5k plus I think w/o any commitment beside CC bills ..

In the end, it boils down to how comfortable TS willing to sacrifice to pay for the house ..

Deswai 3-5th floor pipe always burst from time to time sad.gif
