Hi all,

My house comes with an alarm system from the developer. Now I'm extending for a wet kitchen, so I'm thinking if I want to also extend the alarm system to the new doors and windows at the wet kitchen.

I will still maintain the existing door and window at te back of my house, so they are still protected by the current alarm system. The extension is only for laundry and a wet kitchen. So would like to see the opinion from members here, if it's necessary to also extend the alarm system to the wet kitchen?

Also asked my electrical contractor, he proposed to loop the cable from the existing sensor at the back of my house to the new doors/window at the wet kitchen. In total there will be 4 points and he's charging RM600 for this. May I know if the price is ok or I can still nego it down?

BTW this is the alarm system provided, may I know if it's something ok or not?

Thanks

Also for doors and windows, what type of sensor is more recommended? I read that generally we will have the vibration sensor and magnetic sensor.

May I know if it's ok to just have the vibration sensor for both the doors and windows? Or any recommendations?

Thanks
