Yeah I've been eyeing G20 pre-LCI 330i and my god the asking prices are barely 10-15% less than the RRP when bought new, even for 2–3 years old car. Seriously WTF.

depends heavily on car model yo. example civic fc secondhand price is so damn good. but, u still can go for alternative. go buy toyota altis. same year model, got quite few thousand difference yo.

camry xv50, for example still expensive despite almost 10 years in the market. dont worry, go for alternative, nissan teana, kia optima, hyundai sonata, perdana, accord 9th gen.

some model I see got shit 2nd hand value. just dont go for famous model such as myvi, city, vios, and all those small displacement engine, for sure 2nd hand price is expensive.

go find above 1.8 model as our fuel is still cheap.and hypermiling it

Not coming down so fast as it used to be, mainly driven by higher car prices of new model.

For example, new Fortuner 2.4/2.8 car prices has increased 20k+ easily compared to before MCO.
So used car also adjust "accordingly".

i wonder if this would in turn affect those so called 'good RV brands / model'. its all bout demand in the end, surely they cant keep selling those used car at such prices if nobody is willing to buy them

Then hopefully the prices will come down right?

But I don't see demand dropping at all, even with such bad jam after MCO. Everyone I know seems to be looking either for first car or replace/upgrade car, since back to working from office.

Doubt we will see a drop anytime soon for secondhand cars and new car prices are also increasing.

In times like this, a new car seems more worthy than a 2-3yrs old second hand car.

There is demand for second hand cars, especially with growth of used car unicorns like Mytukar / Carsome.
