The female customers of the establishment are entitled to feeling safe in toilet as well and considering that the female customers are overwhelmingly higher number than trans, the establishment has to take measures to protect the female customers.
On top of that, these people are never customers and most probably will never be, so no reason to even cater to them.

To anyone who patronises Madras KL in Telawi, my friends and I got denied entry into the premises today because they ‘don’t allow transgender people in [their] premises’. Yeah. That happened after we reserved a table and were about to buy bottles. We were told to leave.

The club later was said to have responded to @umploops tweets via their official Instagram but the post can no longer be found.
The complainant however shared a screenshot of the statement on the original Twitter thread.
Madras just posted this on their story and sent me this message. Their explanation: no unisex toilet in their premises and ‘past toilet sharing incidents’ have made them do this. Also put up a poll asking ‘ladies’ to vote on this. Where does one even begin.

In the screenshot, the club allegedly said that this had been the practice since day one due to the absence of a unisex toilet at the establishment.
The decision to deny entry for a transgender person is purely made on the ground that we do not have a Unisex Toilet. We have faced past incidents on Toilet sharing that resulted in such a decision.

The poll and the statement by the club further fueled the anger of netizens, with many calling them out to be “transphobic since day one”.
Twitter user @IvanMarkDCruz said: “I’ve never been to Madras and will not be going either. It’s literally the bare minimum of just wanting to be respected and be given a safe space in return.”
While Twitter user @spicy_naan said: “Sorry that at this age, it’s still happening. Worried about sharing the toilet? Just make a unisex toilet, it’s not that difficult. Being courteous towards others irrespective of gender will bring good for people surrounding you and for yourself.”
Twitter user @ViggyStrdust described the whole ordeal as vile.
