I'm looking at both company, one to provide glass curtains to enclose my balcony so that I can turn it into a work space. As for German Windows Sdn Bhd, it's to replace existing sliding doors to Balcony.

Anyone installed Glass Curtains? My concern is strong winds that may shattered the tempered glass despite its thickness at 10mm and said to be able to withstand 250 km/h wind speed.

what is the ceiling height? glass thickness depends on the height of a building and the calculation of the lateral loading ( wind loading, etc)
to say that they( the specialist) is providing enough 10mm thickness glass to stand the loading is to for need them to provide you the design calculation inclusive of engineer endorsement.... this is what they should do if they are the curtain glass wall specialist......of course must include warranty lah....ask them to provide a shopdrawing / construction drawing inclusive of design calculation and engineer endorsement....

what are they providing between the glass termination- normal clear gasket seal? using spider clamp as well?

hope that helps mate

cheers
