Hi guys,

after i upgraded, i passed my iphone Xr to my son.

everything went well when all of a sudden his phone cant charge, just kept at 0% all the time (but can turn on)

The message was non-genuine iphone battery.

The thing is, the phone is original iphone, bought new, never changed battery. Battery is also original.

Anyone kena this?
Any advice?

i guess its standard reply from Apple when their product fails and cant give better explanation.

they will blame customer using it with non-genuine apple cables, apple chargers etc.
my friend also one day motherboard gone. apple gave same reply.

anyway, forgot to update the problem on my first post.

went to change the battery. the technician did say if they open and find it not original, they will charge double.

luckily it is original and i replaced it. took just a couple of hours.

so i guess it is possible to have apple genuine part but iphone doesnt recognize it and says it non-genuine.

cant recall. i think i got it cheaper. 300 kot. or was it 350.

at Thunder.

even at different Apple official after sales like Switch, Machines, Thunder etc, they have differnt prices.
