Looking at the prices of cars like Toyota Altis, honda civic and even luxury ones like and BMW..

If you ignore exchange rate, they are not much cheaper than Singapore price... Eg. Altis 1.8 in Malaysia cost around 130k. 1.6l in sg cost around 145k.. just ~15k difference. For Singapore over 1/2 of this amount is coe... Malaysia got no coe... So why is it still so expensive??

most of the cars are import laa....even if import from thailand...import is import....unless toyota honda and whatever brand have manufacturing and build in malaysia conlanfirm price will be cheaper.....but still malaysia got that faking tax....like 100% tax....thast why the price like chibai one

I heard rumuors when I joining the workforces in early 2000, P2 cars can even sell lower than P1 but someone push them on par with P1 (which already overprice). Along the years....I started hearing news P1 buyers subsidizing the P1 songlap moneh.

Add more tax on import cars is the right thing to do. Use the money to improve public transport

Car in Malaysia all got middle man company, Even local Car also need Middleman Company. Sure expensive. WTF.

In Japan, Toyota is Toyota, Shop are all own by Toyota corp. Even SIngapore also same.

Malaysia all Toyota are brough in by UMW. UMW decide which model Malaysia can have. Honda are Boon Siew, Nissan are Tan Choong....Sime Darby Auto....Hicom.....bla bla bla

That why Singapore always got full range of Car selection. Even in Malaysia I wanted to get Volvo V90 also cannot.....WTF
