Firefly all the way.
Smaller plane size = faster boarding and unboarding.

Chances of delay is also much lower than AA.

Most importantly, Subang > KLIA.

I prefer Malindo ATR72-600 more than Firefly ATR72-500.

Firefly -500 seat are leather, comfortable to seat but after 30 minute, butt will feel abit uncomfortable because of leather.

Malindo -600 seat are standard modern flat seat like AirAsia & all EU flight. not as comfort as leather seat but whole flight you won't get that burn butt sensation.

Happened to me 2 years ago. Took a Malindo flight to Kota Bharu from Subang. Very bad weather at KB, 3 times aborted landing (nearly touching the runaway) at KB and it flown back to Subang for refuelling and fly back to KB for landing. rclxub.gif

Don't worry air travel is safest mode of transportation. Small plane you will feel bumps on seat more so try take morning flight. Evening flight more chance of getting thunderstorm.

What's so scary?

I always take firefly from Kedah to KL vice versa almost few times a month to visit my factories.

Take firefly at subang no need waste time travelling to klia
And subang boarding time is quite near to departure time. No need waste so much time waiting.

Not sure how true is this.
But I heard from one guy. He said in this type of flight using Fuckker . If a flight there are many fatty asses feihais , the stewardess will request these fatties to sit at each corner of the plane to balance it out.
If not the plane will fly senget .

Pros: Can arrive 30 minutes before flight at SZB and still get onto the flight.

Cons: Shakes a little more than usual the bigger craft. Turbulence is more fun too.

Price is double or triple of AirAsia most of the time.

Edit: No aerobridge, if hujan then be prepared for wet shoes. It's smaller, warmer but you get free peanuts and famous amos cookie. tongue.gif

Agree with the time saving.

Going through KLIA2 security and walking to the gate require at least 20 minutes. Not to mention the driving time to KLIA2.

But, ATR72 is definitely not as refined as the A320. It's quite a bit louder and shakier. tongue.gif

Firefyly plans are called turbo props. They are just as safe as jet airplanes that you usually fly in. I prefer to fly Malindo Air or Firefly because you can fly out from SZB instead of KLIA. Security check and check in is also less stringent and much faster in Szb.

Make sure you sit at the front if possible, if you sit beside the propeller it's very uncomfortable due to noise and shaky.

My experiences taking Malindo from Subang to Langkawi, boarding is very fast due to less people and my flight always depart earlier than scheduled time.

I live in Sri Petaling, which is South KL. Not to say it's near KLIA, but using MEX, I can reach there in 50 minutes.

On the other hand, the roads to Subang can be quite jam.

People living in Bangi, Serdang, Nilai, Seremban, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya etc. would also find KLIA more accessible.

Perhaps you often fly during peak traffic timing.
But if you think KLIA is more convenient for you, more power to you.

The lesser people book firefly / fly from subang, the better my experience would be too.
