Criteria for service as a Juror in HK

Section 4 of the Jury Ordinance provides the criteria for service as a juror.

1, must be a Hong Kong resident

2, aged 21 to 65

3, of good character (good education, pay tax, no criminal records etc)

4, sound mind

5, not afflicted by blindness, deafness or other disability preventing from serving as a juror

6, has a sufficient knowledge of the language in which the proceedings are to be conducted
