I was given this watch by my dad ( handed down by his dad) and i believe it is a Rolex Oysterdate Precision dated back in 1968. I want to restore back to its glory. Care to share any reasonably priced Unofficial Rolex Restoration Service Centre that doesnt cost you a bomb? thanks!

Depends how you want your watches to be restored. If you want a clean restoration, with every broken parts changed (dial, hands etc), then Rolex RSC is the best. But if you want to have a proper restoration while keeping everything original to the watch, then I don't think Malaysia have any workshop that specialises in that. Abroad that are places like Rolliworks or Phillip Ridley which are really good at vintage restoration.
I would suggest thinking twice about sending to RSC as once the parts are swapped for newer ones, the watch is no longer worth as much as it used to be.

sorry but i dont understand why u do not want to send to it RSC.
its gonna cost even a bigger bomb outside because you're sourcing ORIGINAL vintage parts, a dial which is gonna be either replaced without DOCUMENTATION or reprinted outside.
you're not doing a service but a full restoration to either a considerably good condition. just go to RSC. they will send it to geneva and it will cost approx around 8k and 3-5months (send a precision for resotration just last year)
