According to the Yes 5G postpaid infinite plan website, you can get a free phone by agreeing to 36 months contract of the plan with mentioned prices per month. My dumb question is do you get the free phone immediately after buying the subscription or need to wait for 3 years? It says in one of the FAQs https://pictr.com/images/2023/02/23/E1ADuu.md.png
I know it would be weird to get the phone after 3 years but I just want to confirm tongue.gif
Important to note that it's not really a deal breaker as from my calculation for the Infinite+ basic plan RM58/mth:
The free phone is VIVO Y55+ 5G which has RRP of RM1099 according to the website(tho you can prob get it cheaper in stalls/market plus if you have a good bargaining skills)
You could just get the Yes Prepaid plan for RM30/mth meaning you kinda pay RM28/mth just for the phone.
28 * 36mth contract = RM1008 which is just a bit less than RRP of the phone. IMO, its only a good price if you like/don't mind using the phone model and get a uncapped 4G speed whenever you are not in 5G coverage area. What do you peeps think?

I would assume you do get it immediately, but they have the right to remotely disable it if you stop payment

Personally I dont see the value in getting locked into a 3 year contract, since the phone would be quite old by the time the contract ends

Yes / Unifi has a lot area does not have coverage... I don't see it is wise to bind contracts with them unless your activity area are mostly under their 4/5G coverage with good speed

Between Yes and Unifi, Unifi has much better indoor coverage. I'm a current Unifi mobile user and ex-Yes user. So I'm speaking based on experience, not just "I heard" say.
In terms of 5G support, Unifi so far has it covered most places.

Whereas YES 4G has very poor indoor 4G due to high bands of 38 and 40 only compared to Unifi having Band 5 for greater indoor coverage and wider outside coverage.
