The PSVR2 is now officially released.

The reviews are very positive. The PSVR2 is a truly next gen VR headset for console with great graphics and advance features.

Here is the official trailer
PSVR2

With games like Horizon Call of the Mountains, GT7, and Kayak VR that really showcase what the PSVR2 is capable off, the future is really bright for Sony VR.

Have anyone here bought the PSVR2 already? Please share your thoughts here

Me still waiting for my sponsorship at SportsToto / Magnum lolz.

But overall the PSVR2 is impressive, I saw a video where they played RE8 VR and it totally blew my mind.

There is a Cinematic mode where you can use it to watch 2D contents eg Netflix and YouTube. You can even use cinematic mode to play non VR games so that's pretty cool. Imagine playing GOW Ragnarok on a 100" tv. The downside is that the cinematic mode is only 1080p

It's mostly a personal preference thing. I already have a 130" projected screen anyways, so it doesn't make a difference to me whether I use the PSVR2 as a screen for 2D content or not.

I also appreciate audio more than visuals, so I think that if you have a good audio setup with a good room, it certainly trounces headphones anyway.

Buy the PSVR2 if you want to use it for VR games, don't buy it as a replacement for a dedicated TV is my point.

I would like to buy it to play GT7. It will be a blast to be able to feel the race in real.

GT7 VR is a true system seller.

Sony should advertise it more.

It's nearly a night and day difference between PSVR1 and PSVR2.

Biggest differences are:

- PSVR2 is sooo much brighter, I hated the gloomy and smeary PSVR1. HDR peak brightness is good, but not great but I think it's done to keep from burning your eyeballs out.

- The screen-door effect is still noticeable in high frequency text like in menus or in-game text items but otherwise it's mostly non-noticeable in motion.

- The Sense controllers are real controllers, finally. Not a glowed up dildo like those jokes PS Moves. There are however a growing number of reports that they don't work properly though, mine is ok.

- Audio quality is... o-kay. I think they missed out on having a dedicated headphone amp on the headset which should have been easy to implement since it is wired.
