I’ve got a unit with 4 large doors (installed @2008) that appears to be end of lifecycle- they dont close/seal properly, handles are falling apart, casters are broken etc.
They were also single glazed which was probably the market expectation at that time.
I’d like to get any recommendations on replacement options and whats the best models nowadays?
Is steel frame still a standard? Are frames reusable to defray costs or need complete replacement?
Is double glazing a nice to have or must have as traffic/environmental noise is so much greater?
Are there any benefits to reflective screens (can see in/cant see out?)
Whats the normal process - onsite measurement, off-site manufacture, installation usually takes about how long ? Reasonable budget?
Is it all local production now?
