Looking for a new printer, last time university time the CISS mod for Canon printers are popular because the ink are super cheap, these days hardly see one of these anymore. Wanna ask whether they have been superseded by cheaper models? Or original inks are actually decent in price now that no point getting a CISS mod

Why get mod which always have problem
Where there already have system that come with ciss system the could flush, clean the print head and clear bottom roller?
Although price higher but you spare to always change cartridge cause by dryer ink and chip limit
Look for Canon /epson

The inks also cost as cheap as the CISS price last time? like rm 10 per bottle that can last for years.

Lazada selling around 500-600 kinda expensive Depend on what your requirement Print only around 400 AIO With wifi around 600-800 AIO With wifi+ fax 800 I would recommend epson Canon tend to dry faster with clog more Pls check specification if you need to print above 140gsm paper or print on paper sticker Some ver have problem print on 50gsm paper I would recommend direct bought on local shop if your area don't have service center. Heat Roller might damage if you print too much at same time like few hundred pages Rubber roller might harden if you didn't print for a long time. Cheap if you print black only for long term Roller ain't cheap to replace which require to send pc shop/service center. Some government document require you to use laser print or photocopier only This post has been edited by stupiak07: Feb 14 2023, 01:14 PM

Inkjet sucks. Always clogged when not used frequently.
Prefer colour laser but the refills cost more than the printer itself.
In the end, buy those inkjet printer with a control panel in front. Just push the print test page every 2 weeks.
