hello all

anybody can share the best way to watch F1 legally?

i've surveyed the followings.

1) subscribe astro sports rm82 per month
but seems too expensive just to watch F1

2) subscribe Sooka VIP+Sports RM42 per month.
can cancel anytime, but cannot watch on TV. i use Xiaomi TV and dont have Sooka app

3) upgrade unifi tv to ultimate pack (from my current Aneka pack)
dont know how much is the price, and likely will come with 2 years contract which i'm trying to avoid

anybody knows any legal way to watch F1 can share here?

You can directly subscribe to beIN. I think its RM20/month if not mistaken, there should be an app for Android TV.

Could you subscribe to Sooka and then mirror cast it to your smart tv instead?
Otherwise can just see what beIN has for offer

I think Bein Sport Connect is the cheapest way to watch it legally. I will go with the One Month Pass instead of Monthly Pass to save some money, and skip the pre-season testing.

Yes which is unfortunate

If you already have beIN subbed on Astro, you can login to beIN Connct via "Sign in with Astro" and watch from there

Thanks for the info guys. I didn't know about beIN Sports Connect TV app/subscription for F1 until today ... luckily I check LYN before tomorrow 3/3.

Anyway, I'm trying to subscribe for Yearly Pass (RM189.90). I thought even if I don't watch all the other sports, only F1, I'll rugi only RM10.80 ... considering
- F1 2023 calendar ending 26th November and all months from March to Nov got at least one GP weekend,
- from March to November, there are 9 months,
- Monthly Pass total for 9 months = RM19.90 x 9 = RM179.10
- I'm malas wanna optimize the worth if I go for Monthly Pass (don't renew immediately if don't have GP that weekend or during summer break)

But ... I only got this:-
Attached Image

Issit because of the impeding subscription fee increase, that I couldn't get Yearly Pass for RM189.90 today, last day? unsure.gif

From my Sooka experience ... I've tried the mobile subscription only for 1 month, which was pre-F1, wanna watch other live sports that month ... quite okay.

But when F1 2022 season started and I added the TV subscription for RM80+ ... it asked me to 'launch' from Sooka mobile app before can start watching on my Sony TV, no direct login on the TV Google Sooka app ... ok lah, just do.
But not yet can enjoy for 10mins, it disconnected at the TV app and asked to 'launch' again from mobile ... I contacted Customer Support ... nothing helpful ... told me to check my mobile app, etc.

In the end, I gave up, just watch on my TV thru browser ... seems lower quality/resolution.

After that month, back to Jack Sparrow. Don't say I don't wanna support legit ways arr ... just that the bad experience isn't worth the money on TV. If only watching on mobile, then go for it.

Hopefully beIN Sports Connect app on Android TV will be better.

Haha, no lah ... I photoshopped the name.
Vettel should be very free to watch from home already ... unless, Aston Martin really call him up for this weekend? (haven't update myself with any F1 news today). laugh.gif

Thankfully, the Customer Service is quick.
Got reply already.

I wasn't sure if One Month pass available after tomorrow. If yes, I might go with that since need to subscribe 6 months worth of races only. I am going to skip race 18 - 21 since race round 19 - 21 race at midnight our time.

If u have unifi, see whether the TV package might help.

Mine comes with,
Disney,
BBC players
Spotv
BEIN sports.

That's decent value though even if each is average rm20
