Hi guys i need your opinion on whether “normal” not to install grill gate for my coming new house at maisson Ara Damansara?

I aware there will be safety concern but is it looks normal to some people that don’t install grill gate?

Up to u actually.

Safety should not be big concern as i believe the lift or lobby access requires access card.

Most ppl install grill because they want to utilise the small space to deter petty theft stealing their shoes or foldable bike.

If u dont mind shoes missing or need not utilise the area then no need to install one.

Yes, i have asked my ID to make a lockable shoes cabinet put at the foyer so should be okay to prevent theft from stealing.

If you did, I guess it makes it possible to have your front door open without worry.

The grille door usually cost less than RM1000, I don't see any reason not to install it.

Install it.
Since you don't want to be seen as weirdo.

Entirely up to you, although not having a gate does make many people feel they don't own the space.

I’m not getting a grille door as it’s ugly. useless (especially cheap ones) and I hate the hassle of opening two doors.

U feel safe without them?
Then proceed without...

Don't really feel safe?
Then install one...

Simple as that 🤞

Not weird. I find it weirder when some condo management wants to standardised things such as grill door. One design and colour for all.

Yes this is a weird thing to standardise things that cant be seen externally.

Im also think to install main door grill of my condo or not. cause the space is like one foot only. no space to put any stuff in between.
