I used to drink pea protein. I had bloating issues when I drank the whey proteins but pea protein did not give me those issues.

If you drink the natural flavour type of pea protein, you may hate the froth and taste. You can try those with added chocolate flavour instead. However the natural flavour one contains higher protein ratio than the chocolate type.

I use pea protein as I'm lactose intolerant. The taste was pretty bad at the start(like concentrated peas) until I realized I wasn't adding enough water. Added more to make it more diluted then it just tasted like a less flavorful choc protein shake.

Didn't feel bloated or gassy compared to whey protein.

In terms of pros and cons, as long as it helps you hit your daily protein requirements as a supplement you should be fine.

I used to take whey Protein, it make me bloat like a balloon and since then I stop consume whey Protein. Look for alternative protein source and saw pea Protein praised by many articles instead of soy protein.

Sounds like lactose intolerant, like a minor case.

Try HEAL brand. They have whey and pea protein. Various flavours. You can buy those sachets to try.
