QUOTE(neosan2806 @ Oct 22 2007, 03:59 PM) Well at the moment i'm not facing any problem. All i did was fresh install , managed to get compiz working and oso kiba-dock. Didn't notice any slow connections on firefox or updating(using lan but haven't tried out wireless yet), btw one thing i notice is the startup is abit faster compared with 7.04 Sounds, screen brightness, wireless, shortcut keys all are working.(Lucky me) Btw i'm using quite a slow notebook Intel 1.33Ghz » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Now waiting for Leopard Can integrated graphics card produce the effects that you have shown above? Is it RAM intensive?

QUOTE(neosan2806 @ Oct 23 2007, 08:07 PM) OSX86 it's a hackintosh on a Vaio Added on October 23, 2007, 8:09 pmErr u mean Ubuntu? Your display adapter? The integrated display on my laptop is Intel 855GM. If compiz config can work on that 855GM chipset laptop, there is another reason for me to try 7.10.

QUOTE(neosan2806 @ Oct 23 2007, 08:27 PM) Yeah sure why not , it will work at Ubuntu 7.10. As far as i know it will automatically install the i810 driver for u. I only have 512MB RAM. It won't lag, would it? How did you make taskbar turn transparent?

I've just installed Gutsy Gibbon after all the delay. I found a problem which never happened in the past versions of Ubuntu. When I press Restart, the screen will just turn black and stop responding. I will have to power down manually and start again. What's the problem?
Edit: Similar problem happened with shutdown command.

This Gutsy Gibbon is a pure letdown. Everything is bugged on my computer. Btw, anyone tried Hardy Heron Alpha 1?
