QUOTE(Virion @ Oct 16 2007, 12:38 AM) i usually delete the old one and install new. I agree... best method... Avoid trouble... Added on November 26, 2007, 9:16 pmQUOTE(DiCalto @ Nov 20 2007, 05:34 PM) hey guys... what if i install ubuntu already and i wan use edubuntu as well? izzit a seperate os or can combine? Here's the thing... Edubuntu is Ubuntu... Just with a few educational softwares pre-installed... So If you really want edubuntu, then install edu only... because ubuntu is the base of edubuntu and you can tweak it back to just ubuntu if you dont like the extra software... I would rather recommend you to install ubuntu, find out what extra software from edubuntu you like and want, and install those... Added on November 26, 2007, 9:17 pmQUOTE(Virion @ Oct 16 2007, 08:36 PM) that gonna take few months to reach your house. Got it in 2 weeks... and i ordered them before it was released... QUOTE(sidewinderz @ Nov 28 2007, 05:47 PM) i wanna ask u guys, any idea why whenever i run deluge...everything runs fine...just tat afterr i leave it idle for a few hours (untouched)...and when i return to see the status of my torrent, the entire deluge froze...and i gotta do a force quit and restart it again btw, i store all my torrents to my windows ntfs partition....can tat be the problem? thx no problems with where you store the torrents. As long as your ntfs partition is mounted and the torrent client knows where to save files, you're fine... I have heard problems with deluge happen often... I personally recommend kTorrent. It get's past traffic shaping well (>100KBps downloads for all files some times) and is streamline with all necessary functions (RSS, widgets) and there's no bugs in the latest release.

Lol... sorry dude... But i do believe there shouldn't be a problem... hmmm... How about you try envy or another distro? Added on December 6, 2007, 12:56 pmQUOTE(sweemeng @ Dec 6 2007, 12:23 PM) in ubuntu, when need root access, start your command with sudo. in other, type su <enter> then type your root password. then you will see a root shell. which is indicated with #, then just type your command. Meng, I don't think it's a good idead to teach him su. There's a risk of him doing something wrong and screwing up. Instead, use sudo... Like the first step that Meng mentioned. type: sudo ...blablabla... put in password (the password will appear blank when you are typing it) This post has been edited by DeviousEgg: Dec 6 2007, 12:56 PM

Ubuntu is not the easiest distro out there... There are other easy ones like Mandriva and Mint...
