Hi guys, I'm boarding a cruise next month, going to SG and Thailand

I am thinking to just activate my Hotlink Postpaid roaming for 7 days 5GB data pass for RM30 rather than buying their local sim card.

If you guys have experience before, mind answer my doubts?

My questions as below:

1) Should i activate it before I going oversea?
2) Does it come with hidden charge? I know RM30 exclude Tax, probably RM31.80 once activate, do they charge extra if my 5GB done use up?
3) Will it auto switch to local telco when I reach a country and another?

Thank for replying, That day I signed up Asean 7 days pass for RM30 with my Hotlink Postpaid.

I activated it before departing from Malaysia. And when reaching Thailand and Singapore, it will auto point to the local telco automatically without issues.
