Well, if you want to use custom waves/dynamic background, I guess you have to flash files in flash0

I'm sorry if this is old, but I found this to be a bit more exciting than PTFs.. It requires flashing the flash0 partition of the NAND..
Applecor Smallmod 3.71-2 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « PSPMC » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « InaFlow Beta/WIP » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I havent got time to explore custom waves/dynamic backgrounds yet but this makes me ditch IRShell for good |

QUOTE(slickz @ Jan 18 2008, 05:51 PM) so all we need to do is just replace the flash0 files with something via the USB toggle in the BIOS 380 cfw and we get the sexy interfaces ? Yes and make sure the files that you downloaded are 3.80-compatible. I've copied the whole flash0 into my computer so I can just revert the changes anytime I want to rollback. It's easier than restoring via NAND dump if anything happens. |

1.50 kernels are used to launch homebrew apps that were coded for 1.50 last time. Most 1.50-based apps don't run on newer kernel so that's why they still release the 1.50-addon even for newer FWs.

QUOTE(msn83235502 @ Feb 1 2008, 01:48 AM) actually those thing are stored in ROM.both fat and slim i guess have the same amount of ROM to store firmware.i think the kernel update took so much space inside.that's why cant do much about xmb.i tried a few such as justfonts theme.but ur's organ theme can be successfully stored.only i cant find good wallpaper to match it.hehehe.. I read somewhere that the ROM of slim is slightly higher than fat model as well as the system RAM. That's why the freeing up space (deleting unneeded files) in flash0 is not needed for slim to use custom XMBs. |

QUOTE(msn83235502 @ Feb 5 2008, 02:46 PM) CFW is not illegal. CFW are meant to run homebrews. dont confused between homebrews and iso's. I fully understand that. The person that I replied to doesnt seem to. Reed between the lines and you'll see what I was trying to say. iso's mean piracy.homebrew's are not.understand that. |
