In my book the UMD format is an epic phail. Who wants to run off UMD when you can rip the UMD to run off the Memory Stick with better and faster performance. Added the format is proprietary so you can't backup and there are no blank UMDs available to the public for sale. UMD movies and album are even worst. The only advantage I can see in UMD is that its compact nothing more. Honestly handheld are better sticked with solid state storage formats.

And there will be no more PSP games for good. Because everyone just download it and the game developers will go make games for other platforms, and we PSP owners go on and complain there is no games for PSP.

is there any magazines out there that provide game demos in a UMD?

Yes, there were foreign mag giving away UMD demos (Jeanne D'Arc (via OPM), R-Type (via Famitsu DVD) , but the cost of buying the mag will be like buying a second hand game itself.

Guys, check out the free official PSP Media Manager, the page is Japanese but the software is completely in English. I am on ori firmware, not sure of CFW yet, but it works like charm, sony should have put this out ages ago.
