In terms of memory, anyone here tried the following on their PSPs?
1. Using a 8gb micro sd card and fitting it into a micro sd -> ms pro duo adapter
2. 8gb M2.... hows the speed like?

I think, just make sure its an ORI MSPD.. either from sandisk or sony. Else you'll end up
like me.. facing 6mbits read speed only.

High speed ( extra expensive cards ) are unneeded. The normal line of MSPD will do.

And if you're going for custom firmware (which is mostly due to one reason : gaming at a
cheaper rate ) I would recommend 8gb instead.

An ori MSPD should hit around speeds of 10-15mbits read which is rather good.
There are faster/better options out there but I think there is no real need to
aim for those. Load times should be good if you set your PSP mhz to 333 (thats the max)

Load time also depends on the game and how much you're compressing the file.

Owh i think 8gb MSPD is less than RM400. A worthy investment if you forsee yourself
having lots of games.
