QUOTE(JY. @ Feb 16 2008, 12:01 PM) Hi guys, my psp screen got 2 dot like dust stuck inside...May i know how can i get rid of it? so irritating.... You can just open up the PSP to clean it. Well anyone here into modding their PSP? I just ripped out the UMD drive. Now my PSP slim & light just became lighter LOL.... Still planning if I wanna mod it to accept 16gb SD cards or not.

QUOTE(Lakum @ Feb 17 2008, 02:50 AM) Yes...its follows the music rhythm. The thread is still here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=456551&hl=Great job from zal. Dont know what is he doing now....long time didnt see him. That looks amazing. Perhaps I'll do something similar if custom fullcases comes out for the PSP slim. In terms of memory, anyone here tried the following on their PSPs? 1. Using a 8gb micro sd card and fitting it into a micro sd -> ms pro duo adapter 2. 8gb M2.... hows the speed like?

QUOTE(coldfission @ Feb 17 2008, 08:46 PM) hi guys, im planning to get a slim psp in march.. currently im doing some reseach. well i hv asked some of the price.. some offered me 900 with 4gb MSPD card and crystal case. well, my problem is they offered me a normal speed card. should i change to high speed card? if i choose to use a normal speed card is it ok? will the loading time shorten if i use a high speed MSPD? I think, just make sure its an ORI MSPD.. either from sandisk or sony. Else you'll end up like me.. facing 6mbits read speed only. High speed ( extra expensive cards ) are unneeded. The normal line of MSPD will do. And if you're going for custom firmware (which is mostly due to one reason : gaming at a cheaper rate ) I would recommend 8gb instead.

An ori MSPD should hit around speeds of 10-15mbits read which is rather good. There are faster/better options out there but I think there is no real need to aim for those. Load times should be good if you set your PSP mhz to 333 (thats the max)
Load time also depends on the game and how much you're compressing the file.
Owh i think 8gb MSPD is less than RM400. A worthy investment if you forsee yourself having lots of games.
