Can't wait to see the price tag, as said to be replacement of k610i, it better to be priced as mid-range, but interestingly with HSPDA.

Seems like all SE phones onward going come with new so called Media Browser. That's an improvement.

more looks like the old k600 design ..hehe.

Available end of the year.. hmm.. SE's really pushing it this time uh..

So now SE are coming out phones with end call and Call buttons..

haha... they change to Nokia style???

btw even though this phone is midrange, why only 176 220 screen

looks like big for me? also..the orange color looks weird for me

it looks like more to W series than K series ..cox the phone has the play key on nev pad

Basic function phone for typical user that need nothing much but 3G.
The price shouldn't be too high I expect as nothing much to wow about in this phone. RM 700 - RM 800 should be the price that looks good.

if 700 to 800 then this phone can consider la ~ looks good ~3G phone ~

There really isnt any new physical or killer apps with this new model. for all current k610/18, you can skip this one over and instead, spend more $$ on the k850

at least put in AF mah... wat a waste...

mid-range K-series no AF de la.. See k610 and 618 also dun have..

This phone is a lower range budget 3G phone and is totally different from K850i. Some user just want some basic function with 3G instead of high end phone like K850.

To small LCD screen for browsing though. With HSDPA it would be waste. It's time for a move to full touch LCD screen much like IPhone . More space and better viewing areas

if SE put in all the stuff together like : AF . large touch screen . etc...
wouldn't it be expensive ... . they scare after make and too expensive ..

This is a low budget 3G phone so don't ask more then that. If want to have more then that, head over to those high end phone to satisfy the need of yours

Purchased an original Thorus set from Sony Center, AEON Bukit Tinggi Klang last Sunday @ RM 1,099 for my mom to replace her faulty K700i. Comes with handset, battery BST-33, USB data cable, earphone, 2-pin charger, 256MB M2 & warranty card in a box of coz.

Well, ringing volume is not bad but dont compare its camera with other K-series models like K800i, K770i that bears CyberShot mark. I would it's an average quality for the camera. Havent tested out the phone truly as my mom using it now. I'll update here when i tested the unit kaw kaw.

get this phone yesterday. AP set for rm700++. looks even better live than in photo. still playing with it now. only having 1 problem so far. seems like the 'copy all from SIM' function for phonebook is not really working correctly. only 5,6 contacts out of almost 50 contacts being copied over to phone contact

hie.. any body tried using this phone as phone modem for celcom broadband or maxis 3G?

So far anybody have some complaints for this phone...? This phone looks nice...

This phone is not just a 3g but a hsdpa phone.

K800 is 3g only........ BIG difference in data transmission capability compared to k630i.

if like tat, go for V3xx or V6 lor.

i still prefer k630i because smaller form factor compared to v3xx or v6.
k660i also considering...... heard its actually almost same phone.

if compare wif K660, i prefer K630 lar.

no m2 memory....... thorus comes with 256mb.
Was given the option for 512mb for rm30..... but i need 2gb Buying that in LY comp shops.... should be cheaper.

haiya, no need to add 30 lar fro 256mb M2.

This model is great for those who needs 3.5G/HSDPA without much emphasis on high-end specs. The next cheapest 3.5G SE phone is like almost double the price!

Sound quality is fantastic with good speakers..... also got a very nice equalizer with Mega Bass. Radio is good.
Also like the round metal navigation which feels nice.... Not like my 6120c which feels very plastic and paint peeling off.

Overall, I feel it’s a darn good buy!

But M2 so bloody expensive........ double that of microSD.

afaik..... the only difference between k630 & k660 is the casing and screen resolution.
data connectivity have the same capabilities ie: hsdpa @3.6mbps

K630i only no edge. if the HSDPA signal missing, u will suffer to use gprs speed

K660i got option to choose ONLY HSDPA.

k630i got edge according to SE website.

bluetooth or usb.

for Bt.... bluetooth is the only way since usb cant seem to charge it enuff for heavy downloading.

my bad memory on k630i edge supported

laptop/pc usb charging is slower than Original charger

with the price not more than RM600(AP), I think this phone is cool

Not really, very good example on those ZTE/Huawei 3.6/7.2Mbps USB modem, they doesn't limited on USB port transfer rate.

IMO K660 spec is newer & better than K630i, some more cheaper, below Rm500

newer doesnt mean better.. if i not mistaken, the housing for k660 is bad.. easily fragile.. and i dont like the button..

This button @ least is bigger than the k550i
