Hi guys, just here to seek for general advice. Of course every couple is unique and different, and how each pair does is entirely based on how they communicate. But just putting this out there to get some insights.

I and my girlfriend have been together for close to 2 years ( 13 Feb would be our 2nd Anniversary ). So as you can see from the dates, right after our yearly anniversary would be Valentines. Now to start it off, based on how we communicate and getting along, anniversary is definitely the more important ones compared to Valentines. As so we did celebrate both during our first year, but Valentines being just simple, which is what we wanted anyway, to keep things simple regardless the occasion.

So for the first year, we celebrated both occasion, but obviously more focus and priority on Anniversary. For Valentines, I just gave her flowers and went out for a meal. I'm sure some would say, celebrate both occasion in one day, hence also saving up that extra money needed for another flowers. Well, I think flowers is fine for me, I could still afford to buy 2 flowers for 2 occasion. But the gifts would be just merge into one occasion. Would appreciate any input.

Anyway, since I have already put this out here, anyone who's in a similar situation as I am ? I would say I'm posting this to gain more insight on similar situations rather than advice. As me and my girlfriend, we are clear about how we go about this, and we are happy with what we have, our arrangements and so on.

You'd be surprise how some girls are so particular on certain dates bro...
