Hi phahmeen, I am pretty sure this device is in Malaysia already. But AP or ORI then I don't know la...I asked for this device to play with in The Curve, the PDA shop.

Seems like this device still very expensive and not stable yet. Wait til the end of Q1 2008, will see how.

1. I seemed to have lost my zoom function in camera mode.

Any idea how to activate the zoom button?

2. When the phone rings, how do I make it silent?

1. zoom feature can only be used if your pic resolution is set to 1024x768. Anything bigger than that, you CANT zoom in and out

oh yeah, u know that you can set your asus to not make a sound when taking picture using the camera? i meant that you can turn off the shutter sound

i tot there is a profile for silent mode?

there is a profile for slient mode, but what i understood from his question is that when the phone rings, can we make it silent so that the caller is still waiting but we wont be hearing our ringtone all the way, When there is a call on the asus, there is only answer or ignore. Ignore will reject the call.

But asus comes with the call filter, which you can use to somewhat solves the porb...

2. To Silent when phone ring.... just use the Jog Dial at the left side of the phone (push it up or down)..it will stop the ring but won't reject the call....hope this will help

So far, I am using MapKing and Today Agenda only. The Phone seems to hang once a day.....I dont dare to install further softwares though I am very very tempted.

How do I active Edge for Digi? I am only able to activate GPRS and its awfully slow.

If connected to Edge, how do I share the Internet connection with my PC using Activesync?

I tried configuring but gave up. I called Digi but they told me they are not familliar with WM6 of Edge connection (sigh!!)

Internet sharing - u mean as a modem? or use the internet on the PDA while connected to PC with active sync?

1. As a GPRS/WAP/3G modem - connect your ASUS, active sync will start. then, on your PDA go to Programs>Internet Sharing



then tap 'Connect'. Your device will disconnected from active sync and it automatically connected to the selected connection (for me MAXIS GPRS). On your computer, when u can see the 10Mbps LAN Connection connected, u can surf/using internet already

2. For data connection, it suppose to connect to the fastest connection available. I tried already in 4 different places, if the phone connected to GPRS it will automatically switch to EDGE/WAP/HSDPA when it available, but u have to make sure in Setting> Connection (tab)> GSM/3G Network > network:Automatic. if GSM selected, phone will not detect/switch automatically to EDGE/3G...

eh phahmeen..u use all SPB software no hang to the device?tot most of the ppl using some SPB software got hang problem..anyway...this thread seems to be quite cold ler...like not many ppl using this pda phone...

right now only installed mapking and pocket music... first day i installed mapking, pocket mechanic, spb apps (hangs like mad). So, re-virginized the unit and used only Mapking and PocketMusic... Any good apps to be recommended and doesnt caused to crash/hang?

Is it means no different to any shop to get any PDA phone? I plan to have my first PDA phone in my life. Any one can advice? TQ very much.
