Last week, a Twitter user revealed some shocking information about the Brunei Royal Family. The netizen, Januar Haikal, came up with a lengthy thread about the children of Jefri Bolkiah, the younger brother of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

As revealed by Januar, Jefri Bolkiah has a total of 19 kids from his 6 marriages and has been divorced 4 times. The Twitter user also shared some photos of the Brunei Royal’s children and their lifestyle, much to the surprise of many.

When you discovered that both of them are the Princesses of Brunei, the daughter of Jefri Bolkiah with his second wife, and you’re like amazed as well. Ladies and gentlemen, Prince Mateen’s cousins,” Januar tweeted, along with photos of sisters Yang Mulia Karraminah Clarrise del Rosario and Dayang Samantha Richelle. Both of them are the daughters of Jefri Bolkiah and Filipina born – Puan Fatimah binti Abdullah née Evangeline Teodoro del Rosario.

“The two of the men are among the Princes of Brunei, the sons of Jefri Bolkiah (including Hasan Jefri Bolkiah),” the netizen added in another thread. “Out of his 6 marriages, he also tied the knot with a few non-Malays. I just found out today that the younger brother of the Sultan of Brunei has these many sons.”

Netizens couldn’t help but question the religious status of Jefri Bolkiah’s children. To quote a few commenters, “I thought Brunei is like the most Islamic country? I’m curious how the Brunei people can accept ‘hudud’ law to be imposed upon them.”

Meanwhile, another netizen defended the girls by saying, “Of course Jefri Bolkiah’s children are living a modern lifestyle and tattoos. It’s possible that they are living abroad. Sometimes you can’t judge others too much. Their mom is a Filipina, and they likely grew up in the Philippines.”
