2 days ago, however, there was a problem with their international server so I could only access Malaysian websites.  I called up Maxis Customer Service dialing 123 from my maxis postpaid number (much easier then calling the 1800 number because if dial 123, the people are more friendly).  the moment I said I had a connection problem, the person i was talking to immediately told me that the international server was down.  At least they didn't have to put me on hold.  Service would have been better if they actually made announcements regarding breakdowns on their website.
Dude,

Can u use maxis 123 to call maxis WBB customer service? I few times i tried, they said they can't help me and they ask me to call back the 1800 number. How do you do it? You know what, i use Digi prepaid, I don't have TM line. Each minute is RM0.60 !! And each time call the CS is about 15 to 20 minutes average. So it almost RM10 or more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can, pls let me know how to do it. My friend is using maxis line. 123 is free isn't it? I can borrow his phone or I can just use the maxis home voice line.

yup, there is a shortcut actually.  dial 123, and the moment you hear the menu, just press "2" twice.  then you'll hear "please wait, your call will be attended to shortly" and when someone picks up just tell them you have an inquiry about maxis bb and they'll help you out.  the best part is that it's FREE when you call them on 123.

ttwy,

Thanks a million dude.........you're life saviour!!!

I've just switched to using the I2G RM99/mth package using a Sierra Wireless Aircard 875 for 2 days now. I must say, during daytime, the speed is superb at 1.8mbps but @ 9pm-2am, its only 600kbps....I'm still evaluating the performance. But somehow at my place, I could not obtain full signal (3 to 4-bars only), does anyone knows where I can the antenna for it??? Been searching high and low thru Lelong/Malaysian-Ebay/LYN but no answer....  sad.gif ....  5 Band Blade Antenna with SSMB Connector : Please icon_question.gif

I was thinking to switch to I2Go from Wireless BB. Currently I pay RM68 nett at the end of the month. If I change to I2Go, do I have to pay extra (more than RM99) like access fees for phone line and other fees? I only want to use I2Go, not maxis phone line. rolleyes.gif

I was checking the coverage of HSDPA for Klang Valley using the coverage map in Maxis Broadband website. The map shows that in KLCC and the surrounding area of it, is NOT covered for HSPDA, only 3G. Isn't funny? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif The maxis HQ is in KLCC, right? (stand to be corrected if I'm wrong). Have anybody been using HSDPA in KLCC area? Or is the map not updated?? hmm.gif

I can't seem to open http://58.71.141.14/maxis-storefront/connect.do for a couple of days. B4 that I have no problem of opening it. This address suppose to be embedded in the ZTE modem, right? Anybody got problem with this? Also I checked in Maxis website, I also couldn't find the abovementioned website anymore (with alternative web add, of course).

I am also not sure why their website don't have the promotion details. But if you want to know more about it, I can help.

Do you means this website? https://myaccount.maxis.net.my/wbb/
*
I just wanna verify the promotion, so i went to maxis website. Doesn't matter to me, i am not that interested, just curious but others may want to know.

Thanks for the web add, that was the one I was looking for. thumbup.gif Also, there suppose to be a main page where it has the upgrade patch for the ZTE modem. All the time I was using this add http://58.71.141.14/maxis-storefront/connect.do to sort of stir up the internet connection and to check my account. Well that add doesn't seem to work anymore.

Dudes, check out this website. http://www.bandrich.com/products.aspx

It has a HSDPA usb dongle and HSDPA express card. I saw the usb dongle in Penang, they are selling at RM899. They are currently displaying this product. The sales fellow says this the latest product in the market. The size about the same as Huawei E220 usb modem, maybe a bit smaller. It has a small rectangular external antenna where u can flip it up and down. Take a look at the its picture on the website, its located at the far end of the dongle whereas the near end is the usb connector (covered).

I am not sure about the quality, so can't comment on it.

I thought of getting a datacard as modem from Sierra or Option. Now I am using the Basic Package which comes with ZTE modem. I know the sim card is lock to this modem, which I couldn't get it to function on HSDPA phone.

My question is, can the Maxis sim card be use on these datacards? Please help.
