Just want to know something about the statement below.

1) I get my Maxis Broadband 640kbps at yesterday Matta Fair, after i tried the MSN messager, it works and without DC. That means i don't need to install the software, right?

2) What is the meaning of "keep in mind that your connection speed will be reduced to a somewhat slower speed as you are using their connection which is located in the US. The beauty of this software that it encrypts everything , so it makes impossible for Maxis or any other 3rd party folks (aka hackers) to detect what you are doing , as we know its possible to capture radio packet and edit/alter it and resend it back." ???

Is that means it will reduced the speed, but give us more protection? So the overall the advantage is more than disadvantage of installing this software?
