Hi guys, really new here.

Need some help. I wrote them an email on Saturday, got no reply till now. I don't like calling their customer care line as they are alway non-technical people.

I've registered the Power Package and have it installed on 14 November. It was working fine but only that I couldn't do the first-time-login for my account at http://www.maxis.com.my/maxisbb/, but that's OK cause I guess my account was not online yet.

Friday I bought a wireless router (D-Link DIR-300 Wireless G Router, updated firmware to ver 1.02) so that I can connect to my laptops and game console. I did the installation of the router using it's setup wizard CD. It was successful and I can surf the internet as usual.

Then I tried to the first-time-login again at http://www.maxis.com.my/maxisbb, I managed to get in and create username and password, etc, bu when I click "confirm" there is an error message about"Invalid HSDPA".

So I tried to check my modem/connection info via 192.168.0.1, I get the "page cannot be displayed" message. Now I can't see the system ifo of my modem, connection type, etc.

Anyone know what is going on with my account and/or modem? Is there any way I can fix it?

I get speed of up to 700 kb/s the first hour of installation, but after that it is 200-300 kb/s average. I'm in Bandar Menjalara, Kepong.

Great speeds but bad latency.

I'm in PJ uptown and has been connected with 2Mbps speed for the last 20 minutes.... I'm so ENVY for those who are staying here... the ftp download stays above 300KBps constant. Hmmm... maybe i should shift to this area...

Dear users,

did u still charge ur maxis moderm's battery after remove it for the 1st day?
If we did not charge the battery more than a few mths, will the battery die?  
Anyone can share ur experince here ? TQ

i juz appy the maxis broadband Rm98 power package, at noon i test can get around 1mbps, but y after 6pm my intenet speed become very low??

               

I really give up on Maxis BB.  Today whole day I can't seem to get to HSDPA.  I am stuck with only UMTS and it's very slow and unreliable!  I can't even launch MSN.

Sigh!!!  Why is this always the case during weekend?!!!  Sigh!

Anyway, does anyone know how to 'force' connect to 1 particular cell?  Not sure if it is possible but I really want to ask and give it a try.

some question about the maxis broadband, the RSSI higher better or lower better? -58.5 dBm isnt ok? what is RSCP?

what is ur normal download speed? what package u r using?
i using RM98 package, my download speed sometime fast sometime slow~~now 50kb +-

what u get for ur RSCP and RSSI? so RSSI lower is better? thx for ur information~ i am new member using mxis broadband.

Apart from making our own signal booster, can we buy it from somewhere?  I mean is there a way to buy a better anthenna to replace the existing one?  For example, some wireless router actually sell a better anthenna separately.  So is there such anthenna for the ZTE modem?  I don't mind getting any bariah brand anthenna as long as it can give me better signal.  Of course, can't cause any serious damage to the modem la.

anyone notice that after pc fair, the maxis BB is damn slow~~i always cant online or else very slow~~haiz~~

even thought the modem is display connected, but thr is no network traffic.

isnt cause by the user of maxis BB increase?

if maxis can't give 3.6mbps why maxis 98 packages in adv "up to 3.6mpbs " bro, i believe no one get that speed,

and you know what, i register for 98, and never get that speed, now i can only download @10KB/s , i am in hsdpa coverage, why very slow ?, because maxis very bad and suc**.
