I thought I might want to share my maxis speedtest result taken today... nearing the theoretical speed of 3.2 Mbps (is it?)

i advise u do not upgrade it,bcoz it jz d same.they say gt speed diferent but actually it mz c ur place signal strength.if u do not gt gud speed at 384,so like 640.1 more thing to keep in mind,ur contract wil be renew if u upgrade.Think it 1st,bro.IMO,if u hv 2 option nia,nt 384 jiu take 3.6M.coz power package gt a different ip range.u can bt if u LUCKY gt d gd speed line although many ppl oso gt suck speed wf 3.6M package.jz my 2 cent. hmm.gif

How come an increment of RM20 nets u an added speed of 3mbps? Then again, they don't have guaranteed minimum speed.

Those results were highly superficial. You've either tested it with a trial site which is not open yet for public use or the speed is just burst speed for a short period of time.Such speeds is doubtful for HSDPA networks unless they were performed in strict lab conditions. The ping rates are unbelievably consistent for a wireless connection.

Could you show us a network performance chart over a period of an hour or longer with such consistent speeds?Mind telling us where were the locations you made these tests?

To be honest, the speed has been great for the past weeks..... of course I'm on I2Go package which is slightly less congested as MaxisBB. I reckon that the area user population plays an important role..... tongue.gif

So what is the highest speed for wireless maxis package so far?I'm doing some surveying cause was thinking on getting it to help my project assignment.(screen art student so I need a really fast download speed to download some of the movies)

So anyone know which is the fastest currently in Shah Alam area?

I think its possible. Use internet connection sharing. USB modem > your PC > hub > other 3 PCs.
