not only Maxsick down, TMnut oso got problem

i have problem this noon to connect internet but now runs good....

same wit me again..last week also same thing..yesterday night until like 5pm then only got it back...hmmmmmm...

My maxis bb running great today. Using the 640kbps, right now, downloading at average speed of 90KBytes/sec...
Fast.. I like... I like...

i did all that, it helps only sometimes for daytime. for niteime, usually it's ok.

i was trying to connect this afternoon, modem page said connected, but it dont load any page also... haii..

I'm not having connection since yesterday...just the speed sucks starting on evening at 4p.m...

About the tunnel thingy(SSH & Putty)
U said that now u can host a game already...means u host it from ur SSH rite?
But the tunnel didn't effect anything to maxis bb connection speed rite? Am i right? Correct me i'm wrong...
If the tunnel didn't effect the connection speed means the speed is still slow..but the advantage of tunnel is we can surf all ports/webs that maxis blocks rite?
I'm still new in tunneling, still learning...correct me if i'm wrong.

Tunneling helps to cover your tracks for your activities such as P2P and unblocking ports thru reverse port forwarding. It will affect the speed if your speed for P2P is throttled. It is the same concept if you are using VPN (Virtual Private Network).

i currently can't check emails at yahoo and hotmail. who else facing similar problem with Maxis WBB?

Cannot hope too much about 'wireless' technology connection speed actually... Now i'm not using software that installed inside the USB modem, i'v upgraded it and it makes no change to the speed but it makes the modem support up to 7.4Mbps... The software's name is 'Mobile Partner'..I got it from HUAWEI's website... from the speed graph on the software shows that the speed keep changing... Zzzz...
With this mobility we can use it for surfing forums and light download only....

I experiencing very bad connection tonight. My network type keep jump from HSDPA to UMTS. Last time when you are idle, the network type will change. But now even you are doing your thing, the network type also changing. What is MAXIS been doing lately?

Yahoo mail take a long time to load. Anyone having the same issue?

well... my speed tonite is kinda normal though...
one thing annoying is about the 3GB thing...
i also already downloaded 14GB of stuff...if they really gonna implement it, i think everyone here gonna find someone else to transfer their account to...

dont think they fixed that. i am still using hotspot shield to get connected to MSN.

I'm using Maxis ZTE MF600 wireless modem with the RM98/mth package. I'm staying on the 8th floor. RSSI is always between -<no spam links>m and -95dbm any way to improve this? I'm really sick on the inconsistent speed. Hardly can access my Gmail and Hotmail most of the time. Thought that Maxis will do better job than Streamyx.... guess not after all.

is it possible to change the ZTE modem's antenna to some other stronger antenna? Will that help to improve the RSSI? Please help. Thanks.

Read post #1. Use a parabolic. Ur signal needs to get below -80dBm.

I've read so many post in regards to dc on MSN (not because of the recent issues) and i do think that it is due to poor signal and getting intermittent dc. Not everyone manage to improve the signal but you must first establish your areas "best" signal at nearest point to your basestation. U must take the effort to know which direction the base station stands in your home. It is pointless to put the modem at the East corner sticking right out the window when you basestation is at the West side..... ...... I'm lucky as the basestation is clearly situated at my balcony's direction (some ppl say bad fungshui, I said GREAT SIGNAL!!!!) so even at 19th floor, really not much of a signal problem. hope this helps ......

this will also effect the Maxis 3G internet package right? cos i experience hard time surfing since last 4-5 days. Even lowyat.net also susah want to surf ebay worst, imageshack cant even upload??

how long do we have to wait eh? the money is running on charges....

If you are not getting any services for the last few days. Pls call maxis centre to asking for rebate.

i can open certain website only. but some of it cannot.. not even hotmail email...

now also i have to curi using this wifi signal which is very very low the thing that frustrated me very hard to go to lowyat.net using maxis 3g.
