Happy CNY and salam to all taigor expert. I just got an accident on last Sunday and actually just a moderate kissed by myvi 1.5 2020 on my Mazda 3 2015 hatchback . This silly myvi kissed me during traffic light stop and suppose this accident should not happen. He is picking something on the floor while the gear engage and the bang my hatchback. So what done is done and we both already reported police. definitely is he fault. I'm a car lover and I take my car very well non accident before since I got the car. this is the 1st time, my mileage only 31k after 5 yrs


Now my real questions as below



1) I heard my friend says the ADJUSTER won't allow you to get replacement bumper from Mazda SC after 5 years car, is that true?


2) I heard my friend says that if my car over 5 years warranty, the insurance company adjuster will allow replacement new bumper like (TAIWAN MADE)but not the Original from Mazda if the bumper cannot be repair from workshop. is that correct?


3) I wonder if the paint job done by Mazda SC or Authorize workshop by Mazda?


4) I heard the paint some done by the workshop other than mazda using cheap paint and will looks dull after 2-3 years, I wonder Authorize Mazda workshop will use the cheap paint?


5) Since this insurance claim is from that myvi offender and If possible I want my car bumper use every original parts and paint. any suggestions?

Can get all new parts, just have to pay additional around 25%(7 years old car) for betterment charges for the new parts.

Basically, old car, can't get new parts for free since it's benefitting you. If Honda Insurance Package, betterment is waived for 10 years, same goes for Mazda Premium Insurance (renew Mazda insurance through your dealer). If you are under MPI, I suggest you do ODKFK since can get 10 year betterment waiver through your own insurance. If 3rd party claim or your insurance is not under MPI, then you need to pay betterment charges.

If you send to Mazda 4S centre, they will paint in house. If 3S centre, their panel paint/bodyshop.

Mine is just 5 years and 8 months like that

Wow I never heard Mazda Permium insurance before and I will try to google later as I use Etiqa. 4S centre and 3S Centre I also 1st time heard but when I google I found Mine Mazda SC Damansara Ativo fall under 3S as I stay in Kepong area. Wow really open my eyes.... TQ x 3 taigor

Mazda Premium Insurance is under Berjaya-Sompo
But you can only buy MPI through your Mazda dealer/SA. If you buy online will be just normal Berjaya-Sompo insurance

p/s - some insurance also offer waiver of betterment add-on e.g MSIG. Not sure if Etiqa offers it.

You need to check your insurance panel too. Etiqa has their own panel workshop. Check if Mazda SC is one of them.

1. Depends on damage. If repairable, then no replacement.

2. Depends on where you send for repairs. If authorised Mazda body & paint, they cannot take a new Taiwan made bumper or whatever China made stuff. They can only use genuine.

4. Even if genuine expensive paint, you need to understand that new paint is not able to 100% match your current paint (can be close but never 100% unless you repaint entire vehicle) on your vehicle because the paint on your vehicle has already been exposed to external factors which affects the pain, eg. sunlight exposure.

5. Just send back to authorised centre for best possible results if you want to use all original and genuine.

Hi, want to confirm, is the Mazda Premium Insurance is still only buy through Mazda SA now? can it be done through outside Insurance Agent?

Also, is the MPI really better compare with normal car insurance?
