Hi parents.

previously, there are pros and cons of getting vaccinated.
during the pandemic, i guess more pros than cons, the good outweighs the bad, so i got vaccinated, my wife also got vaccinated.

that time, my kid not even 5 year old yet, so didnt get vaccinated.

now that he is past 5 years old, was wondering if i shud get him vaccinated?

does the good still outweighs the bad?

so many bad rep on Pfizer vaccine nowadays, and my son has been going to school (there are a few covid cases at his school) but so far my son didnt get Covid yet.

when my wife and me got covid also he was OK.

what do u guys think?

We cant give u advise on that. Its primarily your decision. Covid is not lethal as last time. And we been hearing bad rep about pfizer as you said.

its maybe ok for some people.

but personally, im not anti vaccine, but for my booster shot, i do feel different.
right after the shot i felt dizzy and needed to seat myself for a while (3rd shot, Pfizer).

in the end, when offered 2nd booster i declined.

I'm looking for sinovac for my 5 yrs old kid and couldnt find any latest info on PICKIDS. KKM website states Pfizer shall be given to kids but I'm not keen on the after-effect of Pfizer.
Can anyone please share the latest guideline or procedure for Sinovac vaccination ? I dont mind paying for private jabs.

Thanks

Does sinovac has better restuls though? I think a traditiional vacine like sinovac should be less risky but did they actually do any research? I'm not against sinovac but.. the chinse goverment is not giving proper data so it's hard to test. For me Pfizer seems like a no go for my oldest son, he had covid-19 before and only had mild symptoms, so he already has some antibody now so i don't see the use of taking the side effect risk.

Having sinovac (2 dose) & pfizer (booster) myself, i would opt for sinovac for my kid. This is because of my own experience after pfizer jab, i did not feel well for several days and muscle sore. For sinovac, it was just usual days and i did not feel any abnormality.

Also, I myself would prefer traditional vaccine type rather than mRNA, also after seeing / reading the after-effect of pfizer. I rather play safe and opt for sinovac for the youngs.
