alot of Malenia's attack are fair too

it's just that ONE move, the swirling Waterfowl Dance that just has an insane tracking and it's pretty much RNG to WHEN she's gonna do it and WHERE you are relative to HER and/or the STAGE

that's the unfair part that propels her to the top as one if not the most difficult boss in From's shit

go fight the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst fair and square, no glitches, tricks and cheese

that's the pinnacle of FromSoft programming, the AI is fucking insane, it's like fucking being pit in a chess match with fucking Magnus Carlsen or whatever

it's like the game AI is sentient, and it reads your though process even before you input it, and even when you input it reads it

and the AI could even bait and manipulate, mess your thought process with his own movement / action, a feint

bikos the guy is just a regular 'human', a fellow hunter, so he doesn't have big telegraphic movement like the creature bosses or even other hunter bosses

BCoC is a fucking mastermind that forces you to make mistakes and goes in quick for the kill when you do fuck up, he's the true Parry God in the Soulsborne etc

and it's even worse bikos it's fucking Bloodborne, you could "gun-parry" from a long range, and it deals absolutely massive critical damage

and there's that psychological effect too, the way the guy just struts slowly creeping closer to you

parrying isn't the only thing he does, but also excessive and even often precise dodging with his quick-steppings

i mean the single most effective Summon against Malenia isn't your own Mimic Tear clone

it's Tiche with her crazy evasions, her bloodhound steps, and her darkflame skills that erodes Malenia's HP over time and it deals percentage based damage

Tiche could solo Malenia

that's what it feels like fighting the Bloody Crow, it's very hard to close the distance bikos of his shunpo flashstep shit and he'd counter your every attack input

you have to like 1-up, no, be several steps waaay ahead of the guy, it's like trying to bait the guy into using his own bait of trying to bait you into taking his bait baitception shit

his moveset is the hardest to learn, bikos it's very minute and subtle, it's almost like nothing's changed lol

played the game on launch, alot of people ranting how hard Radahn was, both old and new players
i was 3 days late coz waiting for my copy on transit lol, so I was behind abit

so Radahn fight was hyped for me, but when I got to him it takes like 5 tries in 25 minutes or some shit solo, wasn't even overlevelled

then i found out why most pipul have issues with him, it's bikos they're fighting him on horseback lmao

i fought Radahn on foot, as one should

it was actually a disappointing fight, bikos Radahn doesn't seem to have a counter for players that hugs his feet

it was so backwards, like DeS / DS1 / DS2 era boss designs

bikos after Bloodborne, and since then, Fromsoft has implemented counters for it, adding extra moveset for bosses that counters feethugging, it's apparent in DS3, and especially Sekiro, like that one Fire Hatred Demon boss

Radahn was too predictable on foot, just fucking go and kiss his crotch in between his swipes

at most you only use Torrent to flee big attacks, like most dragons fire breath sweeps etc

even the Tree Sentinels are easier on foot
