No surprise

Dengue is the 1 thing always around but nobody put too much effort to combat it unless they got infected

Is it true that all the spraying is not effective?

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5448801/

The results suggest that the perception that outdoor spatial spraying prevents dengue is associated with lower adoption of prevention practices and higher entomological risk. This provides some support to the hypothesis that spraying may lead to a “false sense of security”. Further investigations to clarify this relationship should be conducted. Government campaigns should emphasize the difficulty in controlling Ae. aegypti mosquitoes and the need for both government and community action to minimize risk of dengue transmission.

I wonder if the consumption of alcoholic drinks will lower the chances of mosquito bites, better still if alcohol substances found even in minute levels in the bloodstream will actually deter mosquitoes.

A few years back I kena dengue, doctor said only hospitalized if blood platelets drop dramatically or develop more severe reaction like starting to bleed where there's no wound. I had to go blood test daily to get the blood count.

first time will be less severe

second time is when the worst symptoms come out

basically dengue virus piggyback on the antibody that u had from the first infection to enter your body more easily

also fun fact, sanofi made the first dengue vaccine in the world, commercialized but had to recall from market because of more severe side effects from the piggybacking mechanism

Most people that got Denggi will be out for a week at least. I noticed an increase in mosquito population the last week. Because not much rain and its humid. I am blasting my outside drains with cheap shieldtox.

my neighbor started fogging...because they travel, so hardly in their residential area...and full of foliage and untreated grass...

however, the fogging started blowing all the asap from their place over the fence to my house...

well, celaka is one thing...if it's killing the mos with fogs good, but if blowing mos over is inconsiderate.

Seems to be seasonal as when you hear increase in cases it tends to be in many areas which may or may not be contiguous. Also recent hot, humid weather is ideal weather for high mosquito activity.

Can agree with that last quoted line as my area absolutely mosquito free for weeks after kena the floods.
https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2023/01/...-be-year-dengue

QUOTE
In Malaysia, Jamal Hisham said dengue tends to show seasonal variation, peaking during the dry southwest (May to September) and rainy northeast (November to March) monsoon seasons.

"A study showed that dengue cases soar with increased daily minimum temperature, increased bi-weekly accumulated rainfall, and decreased wind speed

He also pointed out that the severe year-end flood in 2021 may have contributed to the lower dengue incidence in that year.

dengue no play2. no cure one, the moment you saw lots of red-like dots all over the body is going to enter mid-stage liao, cepat2 go hospital check, prolong it you will die from hemorrhage.

Lol pls dont judge before u study about the survivalbility of aedes mosquito. .. as an insect it reproduce at speed and its egg literally indestructable can last up to 1 year without water. They need 1 spoon of water to lay and for larva to survive.. this shit is adapting so hard that it almost impossible to eradicate yoo

Stay at ss17 near ss15, got many mosquitoes even with all windows got nets.

Freaking mosquitoes love to bite me, but nowadays mosquitoes are much smaller compared to your typical one.

Most spray no longer work as good as before, need spray kaw-kaw...
