Agree, depends on the look you want. and your budget.

Best value for money and cheapest should be paint.

But paint rarely gives you a truly "high end" look, even all these textured or patterned painting.

Those with high budget will go for natural stone +/- wood.

Those in between will have all sorta options like faux stone, fiber cement board, ACPs, bamboo panels, wainscoting, etc.

i am sure it depends on the look that you going for... farmhouse, modern dark, japandi etc...

Then faux stone or laminates. Roughly RM30-50/sf. PVC fluted panels about RM20/sf. Paint about RM2.5/sf.
