What's the best idea for Wall treatment for Living Room in terrace or Semi D ? I've seen painted walls, textured paint, fluted panel, wallpaper or just put a big gaudy artwork ?
What's the pros & cons?

Which is more expensive? Which is more in trend? Which is best value for money?

Paint ... cheap and easy maintenance

If you find it too 'boring' after painting, hang a piece of rug or carpet to make it standout. Poster or mirror is too common.

Really? Hanging a piece of carpet?

Agree, depends on the look you want. and your budget.

Best value for money and cheapest should be paint.

But paint rarely gives you a truly "high end" look, even all these textured or patterned painting.

Those with high budget will go for natural stone +/- wood.

Those in between will have all sorta options like faux stone, fiber cement board, ACPs, bamboo panels, wainscoting, etc.

I would like to get High End look but without breaking the bank.

Not looking for anything which is super fancy. Maybe something classic but still exudes high end.

Then faux stone or laminates. Roughly RM30-50/sf. PVC fluted panels about RM20/sf. Paint about RM2.5/sf.

RM30 psf vs RM 2.5 psf ? That's more than 10 times difference in the price.
