I believe JM style does not suit CHE anymore, especially the profile of player we have and those "strawberry" footballer now. Team builder yes, no doubt on JM ability to win trophy, he do bring winning mentality to team, but is actually more to siege mentality. He always make the team believe the whole world is against them especially on his press conference. This does not goes well for "strawberry" footballer now, it only works with those old guard, same with SAF, i dont think SAF can hairdryer those young player now, especially those star player. It also does not go well with board, as is bad for club image. These siege mentality are actually fragile when team are not winning.
Eye for talent, not really, but he do know what type of player he want. JM are like CONTE, he prefer ready to perform player, he dont waste time on developing talent. When their team cant challenge for trophy then they will always be asking club to spend to buy player, ready made player, else they will sulk, blame the club, then single out player then leave.
When it come to style of football, fans will always be the same, when winning any football is good, when losing fans will start blaming negative football.
If we are looking for a long term manager, JM will not be a good choice, but if we looking for quick trophy then yes. Then it will be back to square one like it had happen, we have JM for 2 spell already, we seen that already.
I know u still thinking of TT, he actually did very well especially the sanction period, we are actually challenging for all trophy until the very end stage. But after winning none, he start losing the team nearing the end of season, the football is real real bad and it continue the following start of season. The LUKAKU saga and new board he cant get along is the main reason he was sacked. I fully think he deserve another season with all he have done for the club, but if he not the man BOEHLY want, and TT does not want to play the role BOEHLY want, so they have to part ways, no other choice.
I would really like C.ANCELOTTI back to manage CHE, he does not have a preference style of play, his always pick his formation base on the player he have. Good for us when we have owner that like to play Football Manager. Yes i do feel all the player we bought recently does not really come from POTTER, but those player are too good for POTTER to refuse, but does the manager have the tactical ability to fully utilize them. If a manager that only like to play one style of football like PEP, given them player that does not suit the style will only put pressure on the manager and bad for the team when he try to integrate them. Imagine given PEP player that cant string passes well or given KLOPP player that cant press. CA also well know of his people management, player always seem happy to play for him.
Well said. Don’t think Ancelotti will come to us if RM still want him to stay. The next question is, which manager are similarly like him in the market that Boehly can hire?
Tuchel get the boot cos he not ngam with boss Boehly. No matters what, boss will always come out top. At that time, Boehly just need to grab whatever decent manager (and maybe at same time easily replace later on due to cheaper compensation) willingly come over take charge and listen to him. Don’t think Boehly got time to really scan and look for long term manager.
Can Boehly really realistically wait until end of next season for Potter or are he waiting for next suitable manager available? Don’t think Boehly will be that patiently giving time for Potter whereas he goes buying sprees like no tomorrow and doesn’t giving time our players to click and perform or to be sold. I think Boehly must be thinking, if sack Potter now, who are most suitable managers around are available and willingly to come now? I think he still waiting, planning and thinking about this but trying hard not to create too much distraction inside the team. It matters of “when” and not “if” Potter get replaced unless Potter somehow managed creates super results racing towards CL and top4 placing
