Tbh, master degree is just a paper quite useless. Doesn't guarantee any increment. I worked in a large mnc and those director , senior manager, general manager all only got bachelor degree. They say when hiring those master degree doesn't give any advantage to the candidate. Not true...A lot C-suite or directors from MNC have masters... but mostly either MBA or Masters in Management... if not professional qualifications..
When you reach the very top... it is no longer about "job function".... it is the prestige and confidence you give to the investors and BOD....
If you notice... investors always look at 2 things.... current company financial performance.... and then the management team...
Unless you are super famous in the industry... they most likely judge you based on your credentials...
By credentials.... the most important one is always professional qualification or the chartered title... then MBA or Masters in Management...
