Don't know why people love to use Chrome. I stick to safari, open 20 tabs also no issue or lag

safari/webkit was the best for a long long time... fast and efficient... no brainer on macos...

the only reason using Chrome is probably familiarity...

Got mine today from Machine. Anyone can recommend a good 27” monitor that doesn’t cost arm and leg like Studio Display that works well with ok resolution. Not been buying computer stuffs for ages, any suggestions will be real helpful for me. Thanks!

With multiple tabs open on the browser and a few other apps open, I tend to get warning messages saying that I am running out of memory

my MBP 16 with the full suite office, 4 browsers (safari/safari tech preview/chrome/FF) running and some other apps running, memory pressure graph stays yellow, and fans seldom kick in even during zoom/google meet calls

Never once I got any message says running out of memory. I'm on Safari with 16 tabs open, Apple Music running in background, editing using adobe Lightroom. Pretty impressive I would say.

what about the memory pressure? is it in the yellow/red territory? most likely it's using the SSD as your swap

16GB should be the minimum nowadays. in case of MBA or MBP, more RAM can also increase battery life since it wont use SSD swap often.
