Last few days of last year, Machines actually giving 600 discount to MBP 14 and16 inch. Somehow after few check, no stock actually.

It leave me wondering... is the new MBP coming soon and they try to clear some stock... And yes, this is happening.

Just wonder.. no update to iMac? or bigger iMac?

Are there still any apps out there with compatibility problems with M1/M2 MacBook Pro computers?
*
I think may be you can ask yourself... Are the apps that I'll be using already supported Apple silicon?
Like me, I'll be using FCP and Logic, so no problem if I'm going to switch soon.

Hi Guys,

So my old mac has officially retired after a good number of years. I am keen to purchase the new MBP 16inch and was wondering if anyone knows when Machines Malaysia would be receiving it as i need a laptop urgently.

Contacted their live support chat and was informed that they have no idea.

the current M1 spec MBP 14/16 discounted 1K in Machines and other authorized seller.

Well... finally get MBP 14 base model from Machines, just walk in and grab.
Big upgrade for me from MBP 13inch mid 2012.
Not yet completely migrate over and compare the performance in FCP.

Will post it later.

OK - Comparing my MBP mid 2012 13inch with MBP M2 14inch.
13 inch is bigger than 14 inch actually...

Some usage notes:
*> It comes with 2m long cable. My previous MBP did come with additional extension cable.
*> Previous MBP did come with screen cleaning cloth.

*> 1.5hour of Zoom usage - took 20% (100% -> 80%) of battery.
*> Rendering of HD 1080p, 30min video took about 9minutes, compare to 2H 24min using MBP mid 2012, in FCP.

does the screen of your MBP M2 14" yellowish? (night shift & true tone are turned off)
*
Well.... I just checked True Tone is on (by default).

I didn't really notice really that yellowish since the beginning of usage.

Time to learn Logic Pro and just downloaded free trial..

By the way, how do i close all the apps? Because i shut down every night and then when i switch on the next day all the apps are still on? And also can the keyboard or whatsoever be adjusted not be so sensitive? Cause after i switch it off, i use a cloth to wipe the keyboard or maybe it's the trackpad that senses the movements? the entire macbook pro switches on again.....
*
Q1: May be this link can help.Apple Support
Q2: ya, it kind of sensitive, may be is the power button on the top right, or the ambience sensor which sense from dark - bright, when you wipe the screen. You can lock screen and do the wipe if not shutting it down.

Do you all buy the magic mouse or just use the trackpad?
*
I do use MagicMouse many years until today.
I like the swipe left/right to next/prev page and also swipe up/down to scroll on long page.

You can try it at any physical store before you buy it.
