Guys,

I always got this error when I'm installing Wow : The Burning Crusade..I have the basic WoW installed and now installing the expansion. It says that I do not have enough free space located at my HDD. I'm sure that I have 14GBs left and I heard TBC only requires 10GBs something, right??

BTW, do you know that Windows eats up a lot of HDD space in System Volume Information folder?
Besides that, trojans like to hide in there sometimes.

Do a full system scan with all kind antivirus, antispyware, rootkit etc before you install WOW.
An article shows that most trojan created lately is targeted at WOW accounts.

doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif I'm beginning to think that you post things without thinking it through.

You do realise that trojans are after WoW login details and that a WoW account is worth more than a stolen credit card rite?

close ur background programs such as the antivirus in ur system tray. then go to control panel, system ---> adjust the size of ur virtual memory. decreasing it will increase ur hdd space, especially if ur physical memory is low.

this is only a temporary solution. my advice is to backup files that are not frequently accessed into cd-roms or get another hdd to migrate data over. also, u should be uninstalling unnecessary programs that you have installed. say bye bye to 'hello kitty island adventure!'

btw, the error msg says that u only have 3.6g available? i doubt that the solution i just gave will do much good because the patches itself will eat up another big chunk of ur hdd space.

patches only uses the said space temporarily, but it can eat up as much as 3-6 additional gigs of diskspace during patching (depending on patch size and what area of game it covers, eg: graphics/sounds, new map etc) and once patch finish those space will be free again.

It seems that you are using Vista. Double check the permission settings and, try to install to the 'recommended' place - there are users complaining Vista don't allow them to install their own software other than the place allowed by Vista.
