Hi all,

Would like to ask about those pull-out taps for kitchen sink. Normally I see they are bottom mounted as need to have the space for the hose to go below it.

But since my wet kitchen will be using concrete top + tiles, the contractor said the concrete top will have steel bar on all sides if the sink. And since I'm planning on a 45cm sink, it will leave about 6" space and normally the contractor will leave it at 3" each side. With this 3" and the steel bar, it will not leave enough space to have the bottom mounted pull-out tap as the mounting hole will need to be about 1.5" already. A simple sketch is attached below.

May I know if anyone has done this before and can share some ideas?

Or if I would to go with the wall mounted tap, anything that is close to those pull-out taps?

Thanks but actually I’m currently already using this type

Wanna see if any chances to use the pull out type as it will be more convenient to wash those big wok/pot as well as to clean the sink.

The tap need not necessary be positioned in the middle. It can also be at either left or right top corner.

BTW 1 more question. If I would to mount the bottom mounted pillar tap to the concrete top, the thickness of the concrete will be thicker than the tap's mounting length

May I know if it's possible to make the area of the concrete top slightly thinner in order to mount the tap? Or leave a bigger hole at the concrete then make a fitting hole at the tile so that the pillar tap is secured to the tile instead?

There are pipe connectors available for different length requirements. Your plumber should know how to resolve your problem.

ya showed this to my wife before, she said the spring section will be difficult to clean

anyway will arrange for a trip to the shop selling these types of taps for her to touch and feel
