Hi Guyz,

I'm knew this question been asked a lotz of times and i had tried searching through it but i cannot find complete answers.
May i know what is the difference in term of performance and compability? (just some general advantage and disadvantage will do)
From the info i gather, PS2 slim seems to get overheat easily compare to the fat one.. As PS2 fat no longer in production, i'm juz wondering if i buy an old 2nd PS2 Fat,
can it support the latest game (*ahem* version >"<) or do i need to take it for modding...

Please help me.. to buy slim or to buy fat.. Both prices are almost the same.. juz around 100++ differences

Why Slim?
- 64MB Ram (good for browsing internet, emulator play etc. More ram=better)
- cache faster loading
- lesser weight 33%, hand won't tired long hours play
- TV-out built in
- USB charging, while transfering file etc, you charge at the same time. Save time.
- looks better, cooler, sleek
- new
- Overall, whatever deficiency of FAT psp in design etc, is improve on the SLIM design

Go SLIM...

I got one fat ps2 before, the look and feel of it is definitely cooler than the slim one as a home console. But if you always on the move with PS2, better get the Slim, else try begging some shop owners which still keep fat ps2 as display unit to sell u at a jacked up prices, or search garage sales

No point argueing anymore on Fat or slim! Since most u can get out there are Slim PS2! So why 'vs' anymore? Unless u want to buy old second ps2!

its not the matter of argueing..cuz somehow some owners still prefer ps2 fat more than slim due to the heat problem..the one who post this topic just wanna know whether which one is better..for me i just bought a 2nd hand fat version from this forum..cuz i think the performance is better..overheat safety precaution..hehe tongue.gif
