Dear Experts,
I am considering to buying a small 1 acre of agricultural land freehold non-bumi in Selangor.
The seller seems trustworthy and showed me the borang b1 and 5dk showing the geran mukim pegangan selama lamanya (freehold) .
I visited the land and seems okay. The tar road stops about maybe 500m from the land. But there is cleared land (no trees, just flat soil) up to the plot of land.
The land has no water supply and no electricity supply.
It is a big investment and I am scared. So I wanted to ask you all for advice and I am very interested to hear about other people's past experience.
Financing is not a question at this time as I plan to sell my house in KL. My desire is to use the land to plant organic vegetables and fruits for my own family and friends type consumption. Maybe I will do some solar power as well. I think I may build and stay there in small hut few days every week.
Any scam I should watch out for during the land purchase process? I am planning to hire a lawyer to make sure all the things are done correctly.
Any rules about what I can do with the land that I should be careful about? For example, I plan to dig a deep pond (maybe 3m deep) and 20m x 20m to store water. Also some built-up space like a shed for keeping some tools, and other items safe.
I plan to plant something like peanuts, cauliflower, bananas, that kind of items.
Thank you for sharing your own experience with this.
