|
If I have been in the industry for 6- 7 years and I'm looking to go into another company from senior exec in current company to senior exec in another company will the recruiter hire someone younger for the position or hire me because I have more experience and assuming all candidate asking for same salary.

Based on your past posts that you were with accounting firms, and most likely Big4; it's a big red flag that someone with 6-7 years experience in accounting firm and is still at senior exec level. It indicates that this person is likely an underperformer So unless if the firm is really desperate, you might not even land an interview. If you do, be prepared to answer the question of why are you still a senior exec after so many years
And if there's an option, I'd go for someone within normal track number of years, it's also more likely that normal track person would be able to mix with the peers better
It's time to get out of accounting firm, it's clear you don't fit in
