Starbucks is better and the service is way better than what others mentioned here like Gigi.

Sometimes you pay not just for the drink but the service as well. If I ask SB to remake my drink for whatever reasons, 10/10 times they'll do it for me no questions asked.

Also, Gigi obviously cheap out on their drinks. I ordered regular and butter cream latte once. Damn a lot of ice. Not the same for Starbucks (IMO).

Gigi obviously can sell cheaper. Most of their stalls are pop-up unlike SB which is actual store.

Taste wise is completely your preference. I like Starbucks better because I prefer bitterness and the slight burn taste. Unsurprisingly I love grilled foods too lol.

PS: Fun facts about Gigi. This is actually their second or third try. Previously they tried with Caffe Bene which failed and another one I do not recall which failed. Now they try pop-up style because their previous style which has actual stores failed.

The founder is Latexx founder's son who cashed out back in 2012. You can google Google "Low Bok Tek". Recently Low Bok Tek tried to re-enter glove industry "One Glove" which is obviously not doing well now due to glove glut. He's also former cofounders of KBES (Konsortium Bas Express) with his brothers. They have all cashed out their stake long ago. Actually, KBES already collapsed some time ago and Low Bok Tek bought substansial shares recently and rebranded it to One Glove. This is likely to take advantage of its already existing listing status in Bursa.

Haha is that chain or indie coffee shop? If I'm serious about good coffee (e.g., wanting to bring friend from out of town go minum kopi) I'll bring them to small indie shops like Ome or Meraki in Penang.
