I actually welcome their current approached. The phone already has very good technology, so it is to better focus on what the customers want, just like Apple.

Increase the battery efficiency, resolved the camera stutter problem and improve the UI animation and interface for a better user experience.
S23U already $100 more expensive than iPhone Pro Max, I would say the selling price already reached the ceiling.

Key is which version of 8 gen 2 we are getting. If made by TSMC and bundle with latest galaxy watch, then I would consider upgrading from S21 Ultra. Seriously reconfiguring a phone with so many apps that require authentication etc really a big chore.

Its impossible to pull it out if you dont push it in first. I push it in the head pops out, but when i pull it out, its doesnt move one bit.
Yeap. Really low quality phones. It has confirmed my feeling about Samsung. Really crappy phones selling at premium prices.

1st time using Accubattery and if it is to be believed, my 3 years old Note battery health hasn't change much. That is probably because I have been using the phone's Battery Protect feature limiting charging to 85% only

I think you cannot compare like that. If you see the teardown, Samsung battery is still usually in a single piece whereas most if not all of China phone has split battery that were joined together.

Additionally, Samsung traditionally pushed 9V for charging... hence their 45W is 9V x 5A. In comparison, you see Realme 80W for Neo GT3 for example, it pushed 11v x 7.3 but since they have split battery, Im guessing the voltages are being split between the two, assuming each battery get charged at 5.5v x 7.3A at the same time (correct me if Im wrong though since my physics aint very good). Charging at lower voltage + higher ampere create less heat than higher voltage + lower ampere.

I dun own the s23u but i do own s24u and will try my best to give u unbias answer

They is a camera ois bug that affects both s23u and s24u

So if u do a lot of video u might want to hold off until they patch it

They say the next s24u with the "U" update will fixed this in s24u but i"m  not sure if they will for s23u

Another potential issue is the green line which is not confirm to be fixed on s23u or not. They say its fixed but until the s23u is about 4 year old nobody know for sure except maybe aamseng themselfff

Knowing these in risk mind and if u dun do video then go ahead and buy s23u or consider s24u as well both are great phone with s24u 7 year update even better.

Now heard they open back the screen repair offer. You can bring to Center and claim warranty. Buy Samsung fans will continue to buy regardless Samsung screen problem.
